Tiger is Not Human; He's Beyond

Anybody want to bet that Tiger Woods doesn’t win another Green Jacket this week?
Tiger is the only golfer I know that you can bet against the field and still have to give odds.
I’m firmly convinced that Tiger Woods is The Chosen One. The guy is not human. No one can do the things he does over and over without Divine help.
How many players can you think of who is going to run in 20-foot putts every time he needs them? I thought so. Nobody.
When a guy can win the U.S. By God Open with a blown-out knee and a broken bone in his leg, he has to be blessed with something more than talent.
Answer me this — How many times have you seen Phil Mickelson or Ernie Els or Fred Couples hit an off-line tee shot and be faced with a virtually unplayable lie that guarantees at least a bogey? Now, how many times have you seen Tiger Woods hit a drive so far off-line that the cameras can’t track it, then find the ball in a jungle with a clear opening to the green and hit a miracle shot that ends up with an improbable par or an impossible birdie?
I’m telling you, the man is The Chosen One.
You know what I think? I think Papa Earl Woods went to Heaven early so he could direct these miracles for his son. Let’s face it; no human being can do the things Tiger does. Not Bob Jones, not Ben Hogan, not Arnold Palmer and not even Jack Nicklaus.
Those guys were human and it showed up now and then. Tiger Woods is super-human and if he wants to win at Augusta National this week he’ll win.
Anybody disagree?

Howard I'm with you. It wouldn't suprise me at all if he doesn't lapped the leader board with another 15 or 16 stroke win. I love to watch him play and I love what he does for golf. Im not confused about it at all. He is the chosen one and we are all lucky to get to experience watching him miracle shot after miracle shot. Thanks Tiger for being golf today and keeping folks intersted.

Well, the reason he has an open shot to the green it was planned to hit towards that direction and he is the greatest too.

HowardWard commented on Tuesday, Apr 07, 2009 at 11:13 AM

You're probably right, Daniel. I have no doubt that Tiger Woods is the best golfer to ever play the game. I'm not saying the greatest, yet, but he is the best. Nobody has ever played the way he does. And, frankly, the PGA Tour owes him as much right now as it has ever owed anyone. He not only stirs the drink, he is the drink.

danielb commented on Wednesday, Apr 08, 2009 at 10:48 PM

yea ratings went down 30% when Tiger was injured and that is a lot so they need him baaad.

HowardWard commented on Thursday, Apr 09, 2009 at 7:18 AM

I have to admit that a few years ago I was one of those who complained that TV spent too much time showing Tiger, Daniel. Now, I'm one of those who wants to see every shot he hits. This man is history, living history, and I'm enjoying watching it happen.

danielb commented on Friday, Apr 10, 2009 at 9:14 AM

Exactly a few years ago me and my dad would complain and now that he is that phenomenal I too want to see his every shot because of how he thinks his way around the course and his putting is off the charts.

HowardWard commented on Friday, Apr 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM

Hey, Daniel, Tiger is what, five shots back after the first round? Think there's anybody who doesn't think he's in perfect position to win it again?

danielb commented on Friday, Apr 10, 2009 at 2:43 PM

That is what is so good about Tiger is that he plays a solid 4 rounds every time he goes out and nobody on tour can say that about themselves. I guarantee that Campell will shoot about 76 one day and Tiger all week is going to shoot about 68 and if he goes lower than that by a lot he is going to win by a lot.

ssnowdon commented on Saturday, Apr 11, 2009 at 11:45 AM

wELL GUYS WATCH HIM TODAY. tHE SUPER HUMAN STUFF MAY SHOW UP AS PISSED AS HE WAS AFTER 18 YESTERDAY..dO YOU THINK HE WILL DO IT OR NOT?

HowardWard commented on Saturday, Apr 11, 2009 at 1:23 PM

The odds are that Tiger won't be able to win because there are so many good players ahead of him. But don't count him out. Nothing is imposible where The Chosen One is concerned. If he is wihtin four or five shots of the lead going into Sunday, he's the favorite in my book. If he starts msking putts like only he can, the other guys can kiss the Green Jacket goodbye.

Oh well, even the golf Gods have an off day. But if there's still golf, there's still time.
